I have lived in Jerusalem for over 18 years, I was raised in Ireland and moved to the U.K. in my late teens, trained as a nurse, married and started to raise my family in the English Lake District.
Adventure beckoned in the early 90's and from the Lake District we drove via Europe to Israel, landing at Haifa port in a camper van with three children on board! Nothing can really prepare you for life in the Middle East and our journey of discovery was about to begin!
Culture, language, way of life, all very different from what I was used or had ever experienced and though challenging, also very evocative. I started to work at the Diamond Centre in Jerusalem and was fascinated by the world of gemstones and the process of mining to the end product of beautifully faceted, hand cut stones into elegant creations of jewellery.
In 1995 I opened my boutique at the fabulous American Colony Hotel and therein you will find an exquisite collection of fine jewellery which I choose personally from a selection of wonderfully creative artisans along with Artwork by Kosinski using the medium of both Oil and Watercolour to depict scenes of biblical landscape on the one hand and the images of people who inhabit the region on the other hand
